An Overview of Walt Disney World Resort

For many, a dream vacation is Walt Disney World or WDW. It has four very different parks; the Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Disney-MGM Studios, and the Animal Kingdom.
When planning a WDW vacation, the first choice is where to stay. Disney has virtually hundreds of hotels meeting anyone's budget. The hotels cater to everyone from family reunions to romantic getaways and a large number of honeymooners have been known to stay there.
They have four different types of hotels; Deluxe, Moderate, Value and their version of a timeshare, Disney's Vacation Club, The hotels vary in theme such as the Caribbean Beach Resort, Coronado Springs, the Animal Kingdom Lodge, Fort Wilderness Lodge, and Pop Century.
The amenities at the various hotels include Disney's Magical Express, Extra Magic Hours, the Key to the World card, which is available for those who stay on property and can be used as a key to the hotel rooms, as well as a charge card.
Although the hotels often differ in price, they do offer standard amenities such as air conditioning, cable or satellite TV, internet access, and offer the Pak-n-Play crib. Most resorts also offer in-room babysitting, housekeeping, voice mail, wake-up calls, and are also accessible by wheelchair.
The amenities of staying on property include Disney's Magical Express, Extra Magic Hours, which means one of the parks will open or close three hours earlier or later. In addition, you can take advantage of the Key to the World card, which is available for those who stay on property and can be used as a key to the hotel rooms, as well as a charge card.
Disney offers a variety of tickets such as a one day/one park pass which allows you to explore one park each day. To add to the magic of your experience, you can add the Park Hopper which allows you to go from park to park in a single day. Want to make it even more special? Add the Water Park & More Pack which allows you entrance into the two water parks, which include Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon. The pass also allows you access into Pleasure Island and Downtown Disney. Also, if you think you might go back to WDW the following year, you can get an annual passport which means you would not need admission tickets. If you are a resident of Florida, you can get discounts at some of the hotels as well.
Disney offers the Dining Plan that helps make dining more affordable. They have a variety of packages which all include the Magic Your Way base ticket. The most popular is the Magic Your Way Plus Dining. It includes one table service meal, one quick service or fast food meal, and one snack daily. You have hundreds of dining choices including pizza, steak, pasta, and a variety of foreign cuisine at the World Showcase. These includes restaurants that vary in cuisines from Mexican, German, French, Norwegian, Moroccan, Japanese, Chinese, traditional pub fare, and American.
Of course, one of the main reasons to go to Walt Disney World Resort are the rides. There are rides and attractions for all ages from mild such as "It's Tough To Be A Bug," or the classic "Pirates of the Caribbean," and wild such as "The Twilight Zone's Tower of Terror," and "Expedition Everest."
